TOPIC | Changing the Email Tied to TRMS Account |
PURPOSE | This article is aimed at assisting users that wish to change their TRMS email accounts. This can occur because the email account is no longer valid or the owner is no longer associated with the organization or individual. |
SOME IMPORTANT NOTES | Some things to note: Users cannot change their email addresses; Users can however add a 2nd email address (see below) so that OTP can be received; User details - emails, name and phone number all come from: Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) for Organizations; this is tied to your TIN Nigerian InterBank Settlement Scheme (IBSS) for Individuals; this is tied to your BVN
If your email details need to be updated, please contact the FIRS or your Bank (for TIN and BVN respectively) for more information. Once your information is updated there, it can be updated within the TRMS. For Organizations validated with a TIN, you can confirm the email and phone number using the FIRS TIN verification application by clicking HERE.

ADDING A 2ND EMAIL ADDRESS | By adding a second email address a user can enable an alternate email address to also receive an OTP.
In order to add a 2nd email address, follow these steps: Click on MY PROFILE. See figure 1.

Click on the ACTIONS tab and select UPDATE CONTACT DETAILS. Figure 2

Enter a second email and save.
